Nintendo DS Lite console

Check out one of my most exciting projects to date! I converted a Nintendo DS handheld into a standalone console, and it's packed with features that take gameplay to the next level.

With HDMI TV out, you can play your favorite DS and Gameboy Advance games on the big screen. You can easily switch between displays using the button on the console, or even map a button on your controller to do it for you.

The console supports SNES and Bluetooth controllers, and features a built-in web server to handle a few functions. With touch screen support, you can pull up the internal web server on your phone and use it as a touch screen for the games. You can even map buttons to the touch screen, and add an analog stick to the screen for 3D shooters, greatly improving gameplay.

Customizing your experience is easy with the ability to set up profiles for each game. This lets you set up each of your games, and pick the profile of the game you are playing.

I also designed several case designs for this system, each looking sleek and stylish. It was a challenging project, but getting the touch features working properly was especially rewarding. I delved deep into the touch controller chip's datasheet to figure out how to send touch signals via the ADC on the esp chip.

And to top it all off, the console supports USB-C power, ensuring that you can play uninterrupted. This project was a blast to work on, and I'm thrilled with how it turned out.
