Rentron PI

I found a broken retron game system at a goodwill. This seemed like a great case for use in building out a retro pi console.

I wanted a console with the original game controllers could be plugged in. This is achieved via using the usb adapters for the console controllers.

Inside the case I mounted a raspberry pi, a usb hub, and then the control boards for the usb adapters.

Had to get out my dremmel and cut some holes in the sides of the case to make room for the controller ports. Still not thrilled with how this process goes. Going to need to look into better cutting tricks for these specific size holes.

The build is pretty straight forward, with all the controllers just looking like usb devices there isn't much to configure. Retropie will detect these and help you set them up.

Turned out to be a pretty decent case for this purpose and a fun little game system!
